Annual Best Practices Workshop
Every other year usually in February or early March the trainers host a one day gathering for experienced practitioners and those coordinating Godly Play programs in churches and other ministry settings. This is not a training, but an opportunity for leaders to meet up with others involved in Godly Play ministry. A topic is often chosen to explore and discern group wisdom around different issues that come up when implementing a program. There is a fee involved to cover the cost of materials and refreshments. This workshop is usually hosted by different churches in different locations but requires a fully equipped Godly Play room. (5 hours, cost determined by number of participants)
Introduction to Godly Play
This workshop is offered periodically, or can be arranged for a specific group or church, and includes a full session of Godly Play and an overview of the method. Can be in person or on zoom. (3 hours, $500)
Room Preparation Workshop
This workshop is extremely helpful for those interested in setting up a Godly Play room. Using video of Di’s well equipped and completely outfitted room in Oakland, we walk through the story of a room, from the essential lessons, the lay out, to the overall effect of creating a space that is for children and centers their experience. (2 hours, zoom,$200)
Extended Introduction to Godly Play
In this workshop, in addition to a full session of Godly Play and an overview of the method, folks have a chance for hands on exploration of the story materials and a more in depth experience of Godly Play philosophy. (8 hours, usually over 2 days, in person, $750)
